At 6 feet 8 inches, and a high-arm zippy action with the ability to bowl consistently at over 140 clicks, Duan Jansen is one of the brightest young quicks to be coming up in South Africa at the moment. His raw talent helped him bag a CPL contract in 2022, and in the 6ixty tournament, picked up a truckload of wickets to lead his side to the title.

A nice heartwarming moment, and certainly a massive confidence booster for Duan came when the Indian Test team came over to South Africa in 2017-18. Called up as a net bowler along with his twin brother, Marco, to bowl to Virat Kohli, he managed to impress the great man and earned a “well bowled” comment of praise.
